This is second English edition of the book previously published as 'Taoist Female Practices: Period of Preparation' (2008) significantly revised and expanded, accompanied by photographs. The book describes Taoist practices specific to female development. These practices help to bring out authentic womanhood and create a stable foundation for development of strong Yang energy, allowing a woman to become more self-confident and socially active in the modern 'masculine' world. Simplicity of the described techniques allows women to work on self-improvement independently; at the same time, the techniques provide basis for moving to deeper Taoist practices and continued development. The book is addressed primarily to women but it will be beneficial to men as well, both for understanding specifics of female energy structure and for strengthening their personal Yin energy essential as a foundation of stability, which can be achieved through practice of specific female techniques presented here.

Maria V. Nikolaeva (Atma Ananda - Shanti Nathini - Dolma Jangkhu - Made Sri Nadi) is the Master of Philosophy and Personal Psychology, the member of 'International Writers Union' and 'Translators Union of Russia' (specialized in English), the fellow of 'Association for Study of Esotericism and Mysticism', the the honorable member of St. Petersburg Yoga School. She is the author of 37 books on spirituality printed in Russia, USA, Europe, Asia (up to 115 000 copies), and above 150 articles, constant press correspondent for special magazines and mass-media. She spent 12 years in 10 Asian countries, studying practices with about 50 Eastern and Western spiritual teachers. Finally, she completed her method 'Self-Being Strategy', and was teaching in Bali island (Indonesia) 5 years. Next, she came back to St. Petersburg, leading seminars and giving lectures last 3 years, also visiting 10 European countries.
