Quality of work life (QWL) is the level of happiness or dissatisfaction

with one's career. It is defined as the quality of relationship between

employees and total working environment. It covers a person's thoughts

about every dimension of work, including economic rewards and benefits,

security, working condition, Organizational and interpersonal relationships

and its intrinsic meaning in person's life. Quality of work life is related to

activities which take place at every level of an organization and

simultaneously enhances human dignity and growth and promotes greater

organizational effectiveness. It is viewed as an alternative to the control

approach of managing people, as it believes that people perform better

when they are allowed to participate, actively work and make appropriate

decisions.
