God told Jonah to go to Nineveh and warn the people that unless they change their wicked ways, their city would be destroyed. Jonah did not want to go. He did not like those people, and he was afraid. Jonah decided to run away. He would go far away and hide from God. But God wanted all people to be saved. He brought Jonah back, swallowed up by a whale, to do as God wanted and to save the people of Nineveh. Published in the United States by William R.
