About the Author


Jamaican-born Jacqueline C. Grant holds a Master's degree in Latin American history and gender studies and a Ph.D. in Caribbean and Latin American history and Atlantic Studies. Jacqueline has published books through The Oliver Press and numerous magazine articles. She owns the publishing company Gunga Peas Books. She lives with her two children, two guinea pigs, and Sox and Butter the family cat and dog in Reno, Nevada.
